In springtime’s bloom, the flowers rise, But so do sneezes, oh what a surprise! The pollen dances in the breeze, Turning noses red with allergies. The birds are back, they chirp and sing, But they also squawk, oh what chaos they bring! They’ve built their nests in the strangest of places, Like my hair, my car, and my favorite spaces. The sun shines bright, the days grow long, But so do my shorts, oh dear, they’re all wrong! I pull them out, with a hopeful grin, Only to find they’ve shrunk—where to begin? The kids are out, they ride their bikes, With squeals of joy and occasional spikes. They zoom past me, a blur of delight, While I trip on a toy and take flight! The gardens sprout, with veggies galore, But weeds have a plan to settle the score. I pull and I tug, with all of my might, Yet they laugh in my face, what a silly sight! So here’s to spring, with its quirks and glee, A season of laughter, wait and see! With blooms and sneezes, and all that it brings, Life’s a bit funnier when it’s spring!
