Well, Hello There!

Thank you for stopping by my new blog and welcome!! My name is Megan Davis and I have decided to write about my life as a wife, a portrait/lifestyle photographer, a creative, and a Christian child of Jesus Christ!

I guess I should start from the beginning, I met my husband, Kyle, my sophomore year of high school and we instantly connected and spent the next 4 years dating and getting to know each other. Now, I would love to tell you that it was all sunshine and rainbows but, we actually needed to go our separate ways and learn about ourselves as individuals. Kyle moved to Houston to take on his Metallurgical Engineering career and I was still studying at the University of Northern Colorado. I actually studied a few different things through college and ultimately decided to go with Teaching. I love the little ones, 4-7 years old, their curious minds eager to soak up all the knowledge this big world has to offer.

Anyway, back to my story about my forever love... My last Christmas while in college 2009 I ended up getting back in touch with Kyle, we had both changed so much in the few years we hadn't spoken. For the better!! We instantly had an even bigger spark than before, I moved to Houston, and we got married June 2011. I'll make you wait for how he proposed, the wedding day, and all the other juicy details! :)

I was on the path... married bliss and a career I was proud of and then as many of you can relate, I'm sure, I had my first baby in 2014, a sweet energetic baby girl named Bria Leigh. She flipped my world upside down in the best way. Ultimately, my husband and I wanted our children to be at home with their momma for the first years so I became a stay-at-home Mommy! It has been truly incredible getting to watch all the special milestones unfold in front my very eyes! We added another baby girl to our family in April of 2016, miss Emree Ann. Ahhh.... two girls. At first i'll be honest I wasn't thrilled, I desperately wanted a boy but as soon as it set in and I thought about all the shopping trips, mani/pedis, and adventures, even... boy talks we get to experience together, I was ecstatic! The fun we will have together is going to be epic!

Well, I think that is enough about me for now. In future blog posts I will be unraveling certain stories about my life as we all my clients lives and I hope you can relate to these stories and be able to appreciate the beauty I see through my lens!
